Suga BTS Releases Daechwita Mixtape As Agust D

JAKARTA - BTS rapper, Suga is back with his solo project as Agust D. With the D-2 mixtape project, he is back to showing another side as a soloist in addition to the BTS group who raised him. Titled Daechwita, the song and video were released on Saturday, May 23 via YouTube.

The song Daechwita, the single shows the traditional side of Korea with culture and culture. Daechwita crossed his mind when he started this project. Daechwita is a traditional Korean music genre inspired by urban military. Because of this, he sampled the real Daechwita's voice.

Daechwita is a rap song with trap that joined Korean music. The music video was made in the background of a Korean palace featuring Suga and several other BTS members, Jin and Jungkook present in the story.

"My thought is that I want to have a sample of music played during the King's ceremony, naturally, Korean elements become an important component for the track according to the music video," said Suga.

The rapper who was born on March 9 has just shown his capacity as a soloist because he is busy filling in on projects with other musicians, namely IU, Kim Jong Wan, RM, even international singer Halsey. For him, he enjoys collaborating with musicians but has not forgotten the Agust D project.

"I'm not too picky with the genre in between. What is good is good, and it returns to the listener to choose," Suga explained regarding the genre chosen.

Daechwita is one of the songs from the D-2 mixtape which is available digitally by BigHit Entertainment's agency. A total of 10 songs, various genre variations that Suga worked on were gifts for fans who missed his solo projects.

Immediately after its release, Daechwita immediately controlled iTunes and various international music charts. This is also a form of ARMY's support for Suga and his project.

Meanwhile, BTS, which postponed all world tour events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, made them create a number of content that fans can watch. Starting from Korean language learning classes to online concerts performed by BTS for fans.
