Minister Of Religion Fachrul Razi: The COVID-19 Pandemic Is God's Will

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion (Menag) Fachrul Razi said the COVID-19 pandemic was a will from Allah and his every wish, he said, was never in vain. So, he asked that even though the community continued to rejoice in welcoming the Eid Al-Fitr.

"As believers, we believe that this (pandemic) is the will of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and we believe that His will is definitely not something in vain," said Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi quoted from a video that was broadcast on the Instagram account of the Ministry of Religion. on Sunday, May 24.

He also believes that the COVID-19 pandemic will indirectly strengthen faith and sharpen religious understanding of the importance of maintaining human values.

Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi also said that in the midst of this epidemic, Allah seemed to remind his people that saving the lives of others without discrimination is the top priority.

"That the way of worship can actually be adjusted so that efforts to save human lives can be carried out. We do not look at who is saved, from which tribe, or what religion. We are united by a sense of humanity," he said.

So, he hopes that on this victory day, people will continue to celebrate it with full joy and happiness. "The COVID-19 pandemic must not reduce our happiness and joy in welcoming it, even though in a different way," said the Minister of Religion.

In the video, Minister of Religion Fachrul Razi also invited Muslims in Indonesia to continue praying that this pandemic would end soon and life could return to normal as before.

"Let us kneel down so that the plague will pass soon so that we can carry out worship and other activities as usual," he concluded.
