PSG Responds To Inter's Request For Achraf Hakimi For IDR 1.20 Trillion

JAKARTA - Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that right-back Achraf Hakimi will become a Paris Saint-Germain player in the next 24 hours.

Hakimi only joined Inter last summer from Real Madrid, and the Morocco international helped the club lift the 2020-21 Serie A title.

But amid Inter's financial problems, the club was forced to sell Hakimi to raise funds.

"We are in the final stages for Hakimi to PSG, the deal will be completed in 24 hours," Marotta told Sky Sports Italia on Thursday.

"Obviously this is a painful moment for us, but I am the administrator who must ensure the economic continuity of the club during this difficult time for world football at large."

"Once Hakimi's surgery is complete, it will give us a little bit of room to breathe and we really hope that we don't have to sell any more big players, because we want to keep most of the squad that won the Scudetto."

Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of Lautaro Martinez being sold in the near future, Marrota said Inter want to keep him.

Hakimi is a key player for Inter in the 2020-21 season. He scored seven goals and eight assists in the Italian league.

The 22-year-old proved to be a perfect fit as a full-back in coach Antonio Conte's 3-5-2 formation as he helped Inter win the Scudetto for the first time since 2009-10, but the club's financial problems have forced Conte's departure after learning some of its star players may have to face the challenge. on sale.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez could potentially be the first players to leave, but it is Hakimi who has to leave as the club looks for ways to raise funds.

The report also states that PSG agreed to Inter Milan's request for Hakimi for 70 million euros (approximately IDR 1.20 trillion) plus bonuses.

The transfer is a huge boon for Inter who only spent 40 million euros for the full-back last summer.
