Exclusive, Lee Hye-ri Shares Feelings When My Roommate Is A Gumiho Popular In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The main character of Drama My Roommate is a Gumiho, Lee Hye-ri does not know that her drama is popular in Indonesia. The drama tells the story of Shin Woo-yeo, a handsome and intelligent professor who is actually a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox, while Lee Dam is an ordinary girl who lives in the 21st century.

Hye-ri admits that she enjoys playing the honest character of Lee Dam. "Lee Dam is a character who honestly expresses his feelings. I think we have a lot in common, and I've always wanted to play a confident character like him," said Lee Hye-ri in an exclusive interview with VOI via email, Wednesday, June 30.

This drama, he continued, has many interesting characters. "If I could choose I would like to try to play a gumiho. Because Hye-sun's character has become a human, so I think I want to try playing Woo-yeo," he explained.

In Indonesia, during the initial broadcast of the drama My Roommate is a Gumiho, this drama entered popular Google searches after Episodes 1 and 2 aired.

"I didn't know it was on Google Popular Search. I'm happy that this drama can become popular overseas. While filming for this drama, I worked harder and was more passionate than when doing other jobs, so I'm very touched that my efforts were not in vain ," he explained.

Lee Hye-ri admitted that she laughed more in romantic scenes than in funny scenes in this drama. I couldn't help myself because Ki-yong and I are actually very close in real life. I can't stand the awkwardness I feel during romantic scenes. Once I start laughing, I can't stop, so I laugh as much as I want. and continued filming after I quit."

I think people liked the scene where I met Woo-yeo for the first time, swallowed a marble, and found out that he was a gumiho. "There are many funny scenes in episode 2. I'm glad that many people enjoyed it," said Lee Hye-ri.
