JAKARTA - The scavenger community in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, hopes that the National Police can distribute social assistance in a sustainable and well-targeted manner to people in need.

Budi said the National Police distributed 2,415 packages of basic needs for scavenger communities in Pulo Gadung and Bantar Gebang, to help residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The commemoration of the 75th Bhayangkara Day carries the theme "Precise Police Transformation supports the acceleration of handling COVID-19 for healthy communities and national economic recovery towards advanced Indonesia".

The commemoration of the National Police's Anniversary will be carried out simultaneously in all regional police stations until September 9, 2021.

The Head of the Traffic Corps of the Police, Inspector General Istiono, assumed the role of Chairman of the Simultaneous Social Service Committee (Baksos) on the 75th Bhayangkara Day.

Istiono said the recipients of basic food assistance, namely people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, totaled 272,662 food packages and 272,662 bottles of hand sanitizer, as well as 2,521,815 masks to be distributed to the public.

The assistance was distributed to various groups of people, such as orphans, the poor, the underprivileged, nursing homes, orphanages, social homes, motorcycle taxis, drivers, people with disabilities, retired TNI-Polri Warakawuri, medical personnel, MSMEs affected by the pandemic and other communities. who desperately need.
