Take A Peek At One UI Watch, The New Interface OS On Galaxy Watch 4
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) technology exhibition, Samsung released the latest interface operating system for smartwatch devices. Named One UI Watch, this interface is built on the Wear OS smartwatch OS.
Samsung claims that implementing this interface makes its smartwatch more feature-rich. Not only that, the smartwatch that is supported by One UI Watch is also claimed to have better performance when connected to an Android cellphone.
Quoting XDA Developer, there are several advantages of One UI Watch and make it different from the typical Wear OS-based interface. Compared to the previous company's interface, namely Tizen OS, One UI Watch is designed with a display similar to One UI on Samsung phones.
Not only that, there are more applications that support this interface. Some popular applications that you can use include Strava, Adidas Running, Spotify, Google Maps, Calm, to YouTube Music.
The company also confirms that One UI Watch is able to optimize battery power with much faster performance. And it is this advantage that the company has invested in its latest smartwatch. Namely the Galaxy Watch 4.
Improve User Interface AppearanceThe most obvious improvement that users can immediately see on the Galaxy Watch 4 is the interface. This is in accordance with the goal of cooperation between Google and Samsung – which is to undermine the dominance of the Apple Watch in the global industry.
The appearance of a smartwatch that is made similar to a smartphone also has its own purpose. According to Samsung's explanation, that is to create an ecosystem between smartphones and smartwatches that is more integrated.
At the event, Samsung also showcased some of the new capabilities of this interface. One of them is the ability to install apps automatically. When a user installs a certain application on the phone, the application is also installed on the smartwatch.
Finally, One UI Watch can also synchronize the time automatically with the settings on the phone. So, users don't need to worry if there is a time difference between the phone and the smartwatch.
Unfortunately, information about the Galaxy Watch 4 is still only a leak. The reason is, the new company plans to launch this new smartwatch at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
