Canadian PM's Gossip About Trump Among Other Country Leaders

JAKARTA - There is an awkward or awkward moment between the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump and the Prime Minister (PM) of Canada Justin Trudeau. The situation occurred when the Prime Minister of Canada was gathering with leaders of other countries, namely British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

In the video, you can see the country's leaders laughing at Trump. But no one overtly laughed at Trump. This incident began, when PM Trudeau arrived late and was asked by PM Johnson. Trudeau then explained that he was late because Trump held a press conference up to 40 minutes before the agenda for a meeting with him, even though in the video Trudeau did not clearly mention Trump's name.

"Last night I got a reference that there was an unscheduled press conference before my meeting with President Trump. I am happy about that, but it (the leaders' video chat) is of course known," PM Trudeau said, quoted by CNN. , Thursday 5 September 2019.

Trudeau is not worried about the words he utters when he meets the country's leaders impacting US-Canada relations. But the opposite was done by President Trump, he reacted and said that PM Trudeau was two-faced. In addition, Trump also canceled his press conference with Trudeau which was scheduled to be held at the end of the NATO summit.

"He was two-faced. It was very funny when I said that the man (Trudeau) was two-faced," Trump said, quoted by the BBC.

Trump also criticized Canada for not currently meeting NATO's defense spending target of 2 percent.

"The truth is I called him with the fact that he didn't pay 2 percent and I don't think he's too happy about it. He has to pay 2 percent, Canada has the money," Trump added.

Not only with the Prime Minister of Canada, Trump also had an argument with French President Emmanuel Macron. On Tuesday 3 Desemebr Trump was present at a meeting in London chaired by France. Trump met NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, President Macron and PM Trudeau. At the meeting, there was a question and answer session by the press.

Trump's meeting with Macron at that time looked very tense. This was caused by the French president refusing to retract his statement that Trump was "evil" and "despicable". Last month, Macron also said that the NATO summit suffered "brain death" caused by US indifference to the old alliance.

But at a later time, the two leaders appeared to be on good terms as they walked to 10 Downing Street together for a banquet after the palace meeting. It seems that Trump also gave Macron a ride in his motorcade known as "the beast."
