Foreign Debt Of IDR 6,500 Trillion, HMI Calls For 2021 Revolution Revolusi
JAKARTA - The General Chair of the PB Islamic Student Association (HMI) MPO, Affandi Ismail, called for Indonesia to carry out a revolution in 2021.
The appeal itself aims to invite the public to be objective and independent in seeing the situation of the nation and state which, according to him, is experiencing a multidimensional slump.
He considered that the downturn was marked by foreign debts which had reached Rp. 6,500 trillion, so that poverty was increasing and education was considered unclear.
"HMI together with the people call for the 2021 Indonesian revolution. Jokowi must step down. Sovereign people form a temporary government. Save Indonesia's democracy for Indonesia to win," reads the text on the poster seen, quoted from era.id, Tuesday, June 30.
Affandhy Ismail also explained that the call for revolution to save the Republic of Indonesia from the oligarchy of power.
"Save the Republic of Indonesia from the colonization of foreign and foreign conglomerate political oligarchs for the welfare of the Indonesian people," he said.
Meanwhile, the head of the North Sumatra HMI Badko, Alwi Hasbi Silalahi, stated that the North Sumatran HMI was ready to take to the streets.
"Now, HMI is also gathering friends from other mass organizations to welcome the call," he said, Wednesday.
Alwi considered that there were many irregularities in this country during the Jokowi regime.
"One example is that artists can get married, people are disbanded, KPK employees who are considered good at work are fired, and others," he said.
