Disperindag Office, Dishub Up To DKP Riau Archipelago Burglary Thieves, Dozens Of Computer Units Disappear

TANJUNGPINANG - The Tanjungpinang Resort Police (Polres) formed a team to hunt down the perpetrators of the burglary of a number of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) offices at the Riau Islands Governor's (Kepri) office complex on Dompak Island.

Finally, the thief broke into the Office of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service (DKP) on Saturday, June 19 and took away a laptop and computer.

The Head of Public Relations of the Tanjungpinang Police, Iptu Suprihadi, said that the team is currently working on investigating the case. "The team has processed the crime scene and monitored CCTV," said Suprihadi in Tanjungpinang, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.

Meanwhile, Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad supported the efforts of the police to investigate the perpetrators and the motive for the burglary of the OPD office. He hopes that the perpetrators will be caught soon to be held accountable for their actions.

"We appreciate the police who have acted quickly in handling this case," said Ansar.

These include Disperindag, Dishub, Department of SMEs and Cooperatives, and most recently the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (DKP).

"Of the four OPDs, a total of dozens of computers have been lost," said Ansar.

Ansar has instructed each OPD head to prepare internal security officers (Pamdal) to maintain office security by empowering existing honorary staff. "If you only rely on Satpol PP personnel, the number is limited," he said.
