COVID-19 Soars, Boy William's Marriage With Conglomerate's Son From Solo Cancels
JAKARTA - Boy William and Karen Vendela's wedding was again canceled due to the spike in COVID-19. The invitations that had been spread on social media turned out to be invitations for an event in Solo. For information, Karen is the daughter of conglomerate Hartono Hosea which has a business base in Solo, Central Java.
"Delayed first, this is the COVID-19 scene again. I was supposed to get married last year but it was postponed because of COVID. Eh, when it was postponed a year, I got this date, it's getting crazy COVID again. We can't help but postpone it again," said Boy on Maia ALELDUL's YouTube channel TV quoted Wednesday, June 30.
About the invitation that was spread on social media, Boy William admitted it was his wedding invitation. Originally, the wedding was held in Solo, for the bride's family. "It was in Solo, but it was also canceled because of COVID," said Boy William.
Karen's father is the son of the founder of the Sun Motor Group. He is married to Margaret Vivi who is also a beauty entrepreneur and has two children Karen Vendela Hosea and Woren Sundoro Hosea.
Karen's grandfather, Sundoro Hosea is the founder of Sun Motor Group and is the third richest person in Solo. Sun Motor has more than 50 branches in other major cities in Indonesia, including 26 main Mitsubishi branches.
From automotive, the company of Boy William's future father-in-law then moved into hospitality, car rental services, malls, photography, to real estate. His business spread across the islands of Java and Bali.
