5 Days Left, Prosecutor Has Not Determined The 'Discount' Attitude Of The Punishment
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari) stated that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) has yet to make a decision on the decision of the DKI Jakarta High Court which cut Pinangki Sirna Malasari's sentence. Although, the deadline for determining the remaining attitude is less than a week.
"The prosecutor has not decided yet," said Head of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Riono Budi Santoso, to VOI, Wednesday, June 30.
Riono said that when referring to the time the copy of the verdict was received, which was June 21, the prosecutor still had 5 days to make a decision. Because, based on the rules of the deadline for 14 working days.
Thus, the prosecutor will use as much as possible to decide whether or not to file an appeal against Pinangki Sirna Malasari's appeal.
"(Deadline) next Monday (July 5) based on my calculations," he said.
For information, the Appeals Council of the DKI Jakarta High Court, chaired by Muhammad Yusuf with judges Haryono, Singgih Budi Prakoso, Lafat Akbar, and Renny Halida Ilham Malik on June 14, 2021, decided on Pinangki Sirna Malasari's appeal.
In its decision the panel of judges gave a 'discount' sentence of six years in prison. Thus, Pinangki's prison sentence remains four years.
Pinangki was previously sentenced to 10 years at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court. In addition, he was also fined Rp600 million subsidiary of 6 months in prison.
