One Day Before Entering Bali With PCR, Flights At Ngurah Rai Airport Dropped
BADUNG - One day ahead of the mandatory implementation of bringing the results of the PCR test into Bali, flight activity at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport decreased. Many airlines cancel flights.
"For those who cancel, about 30 to 40 percent. Just today," said Stakeholder Relations Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Branch Office of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Taufan Yudhistira, Tuesday, June 29.
They do not know the reason for the cancellation. The governor of Bali previously issued a new rule for airplane passengers entering Bali to be free from COVID-19 from the PCR test.
Usually flights at Ngurah Rai Airport are around 60-70 airline schedules. Today there are only 20 flights.
“Just down today, take-off landing 20 flights in total. Dominated by Jakarta, Surabaya, Lombok and Ujung Pandang," said Taufan.
The Bali Provincial Government applies strict conditions for Domestic Travelers (PPDN) who will enter Bali using air, land and sea transportation which will be effective on Wednesday, June 30.
For those who use the air transportation mode, they are required to show a negative certificate for the PCR-based swab test. Meanwhile, those who use sea and land transportation modes need to include negative PCR information or the results of the rapid antigen test.
