Jokowi: The Presence Of Tadex Momentum To Promote An Inclusive Digital Ecosystem
JAKARTA - The media industry in Indonesia continues to grow from time to time along with advances in digital technology. Therefore, the Press Council and the Media Sustainability Task Force together with the Telkom Group are committed to designing a solution that opens up new opportunities for a more sustainable media industry.
President Joko Widodo welcomed the collaboration. According to him, this collaboration has succeeded in creating technological innovations for the media industry specifically for advertising by presenting the Tadex Digital Exchange.
"We must support the work of this nation's children and make the best use of it to encourage an inclusive ecosystem, build innovative and transparent digital advertising while still prioritizing the quality of delivering messages to the public," he said at a virtual press conference, Tuesday, June 29.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta admitted that he was sure that Tadex would provide a breath of fresh air because it offered a sustainable digital advertising business mode. In addition, it also opens up many new opportunities that are beneficial for advertisers, publishers, marketers, and other stakeholders.
"To seize opportunities in the era of disruption, we must be able to create innovative solutions by developing a smart digital planner spirit to support the acceleration of digital economic growth in the country," he said.
Currently, said Jokowi, the contribution of digital economic growth to gross domestic product (GDP) is still relatively small, only around 4 percent of Indonesia's GDP.
"This means we have to run even faster. So that by 2025 we can control around 40 percent of the total digital economy potential in Asia and in 2030 Indonesia's digital economy can contribute 18 percent of Indonesia's GDP," he explained.
Furthermore, Jokowi said the presence of Tadex was an important momentum to give birth to new leaps, especially in the digital economy.
"Creating a better digital ecosystem, making Indonesia the country with the largest digital economy in Southeast Asia," he said.
