Ganjar Pranowo: Bed Occupancy Rate Is Already Dangerous
SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo said the bed occupancy rate of isolation rooms in hospitals is now quite dangerous in line with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
"So, currently it is above 80 percent so (hospitals) need to quickly add beds," he said during a visit to the Kalisari Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Batang Regency, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 29.
Ganjar Pranowo asked the Batang Regency Government to prepare an emergency hospital scenario or tent to help treat COVID-19 patients.
"As stated by the Regent of Batang (currently) there are 24 patients, so it is necessary to prepare an emergency hospital scenario or install a tent," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Care Division of the Kalisari Hospital, Batang Regency, Samuri said that currently the hospital has provided 93 beds and maybe 24 more beds will be added.
The bed room that has been occupied by patients has reached 70 people. Samuri ensured that the RSUD together with related parties would always be on standby 24 hours to serve patients or the community
"There are patients who are 'entry' (but haven't yet got a bed room) are still waiting for the screening test process because they (patients) come at almost the same time. One patient who has not been screened has come again even though we need time to process it," he said .
