JAKARTA - The VIII Kadin national meeting (Munas) for the election of the Kadin General Chair will still be held in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi on June 30 to 31, 2021. Although a number of Kadin members asked for the event to be postponed for humanitarian reasons, considering the COVID-19 case in the country continues experiencing addition.
Kadin Chairman Rosan Roeslani ensured that the Kadin VIII National Conference in Kendari would implement super strict health protocols. Starting from the departure of participants to the venue until the event takes place.

Get Jokowi's blessingRosan Roeslani visited the State Palace along with two candidates for vice chairman of Kadin for the 2021-2026 period, namely Arsjad Rasjid and Anindya Bakrie. His arrival was to report on the readiness of the VIII Kadin National Deliberation (Munas) which will be held in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi on June 30.
Rosan Roeslani said in a meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the head of state admitted that he was willing to attend the once-every five-yearly event in this employers' organization.
"We went before the President to report on the preparations for the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) on June 30 to 31 in Kendari. God willing, the President said he would be attending in Kendari," he said.
Furthermore, Rosan said that there were no more than 100 people who would attend directly with President Joko Widodo at the location.
"The plan (invitation) is 200 people, but separately. So, only 100 people are with the President. The location is open, in the middle of the sea. Preparations have gone well," he said.
National Conference as well as mass vaccinationAt the National Conference, said Rosan, a mass vaccination will also be held. Thus, the event held by Kadin was not only to find a general chairman but also to assist the government's national vaccination program. This is intended so that herd immunity can be achieved immediately.
"We will carry out a massive vaccination of 15,000 vaccinations and also this event will be held in an open room with very strict health protocols," he said.
Airplane charterFurthermore, Rosan said to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the VIII Munas event area, his party would conduct a COVID-19 health test based on antigen swab and PCR.
"We see that Kendari is not a red zone. So it can be implemented (Munas VIII Kadin) and we follow the government's rules how much is the percentage and everything that comes in is PCR, not only every day but what comes out of that location we antigen and PCR, " he said.
Not only that, said Rosan, to ensure that all participants of the National Conference VIII Kadin are free from COVID-19, Kadin will charter a Garuda plane as the participant's transportation to Kendari.
"We also chartered planes for all participants. Neither of them departed individually. We chartered a Garuda plane so before leaving we first tested the test for a combination of PCR and antigen. So we chartered all planes to fly. It's true that we will take care of everything for the good of us all," he said.
Rosan also hopes that the event which will be held by implementing this super strict health protocol can run smoothly without increasing active cases of COVID-19 in Kendari.
"So really we will keep everything for the good of us all," he said.
The general chairman has agreedRosan said that based on the results of the consensus deliberation, the two candidates for general chairman, namely Arsjad Rasjid and Anindya Bakrie, would become chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
President Director of PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) Arsjad Rasjid will become Chairman of Kadin for the period 2021-2026. Meanwhile, his opponent, Anindya Bakrie, will be the Chairman of the Advisory Council of Kadin for the same period.
"The two candidates for general chairmanship already have a deliberation agreement for consensus which we have conveyed to the President. The point is that both of them agreed to become chairman, but the difference is that one becomes chairman of the advisory board, namely Mr. Anindya Bakrie. Rashid," he said.
Rosan said the ratification of the two would be carried out at the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) which will take place in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi on June 30 to July 1, 2021.
"This will be brought to the National Conference to be realized in accordance with the articles of association and by-laws," he said.
As is known, the VIII Kadin National Conference would previously be held in Bali on June 2-4. However, due to the Jokowi administration, the event was postponed considering that the event was close to the post-Idul Fitri holiday in 2021, so it was feared that there would be an increase in active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
It was agreed that the VIII Kadin National Conference was postponed until June 30 and will be held in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The location selection is based on the fact that Kendari is not an area with a red zone status.
