Former Bodybuilder Champion Urges The Government To Reopen The Fitness Center

JAKARTA - Former Fitness America bodybuilder Jodi Harisson Bauer has urged the Connecticut state government to reopen the fitness center or gym. According to him, maintaining fitness is very important to maintain mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This woman who was once the oldest swimwear model for Sport Illustrated magazine, did not use her quarantine period by taking naps or munching on snacks. He continues to exercise in order to maintain his condition at the age of 59 years.

Bauer owns a boutique fitness studio at his Connecticut home called JodiFit. He said via Instagram, gyms should reopen to help people's mental health.

"What drives me crazy is that people who make decisions don't understand the difference between a big gym and a boutique fitness studio. JodiFit is more than a group class, it's also a place to train in person, ONE on ONE. It can be done in a 1,000 square foot space. we hold group classes, or in a private training room of 650 square feet, "Bauer wrote on his Instagram, @jodiharissonbauer.

"But these decision makers in the state of Connecticut don't understand the nuances of boutique fitness and personal training. They generalize the definition of a gym. My argument is to make smart decisions based on knowledge."

Bauer continued, he was ready to explain to related parties about the business he was doing. He said most of its members and clients come to JodiFit to take care of their mental health just as they come for their physical health.

"They are bright and passionate women who can make smart decisions for themselves. We all do the best we can, but I am tired of being told what these people who don't understand my business are doing," Bauer continued.

For additional information, Bauer began competing in fitness events at the age of 40 and managed to become a two-time champion in the Fitness America and Fitness Universe Pageants. He has also appeared on the cover of Generations Magazine.
