PT AMK Batam Employees Fake Antigen Test Results, Operate Since March 2021 And Target Job Seekers

Head of the Multimedia Sub-Division for Public Relations of the Riau Islands Police AKBP Surya Iswandar said the modus operandi of making a fake antigen rapid test letter as a requirement for job applicants.

DSH is a worker in a labor distribution company in Batam. The certificate of COVID-19 antigen results is used as a supporting document for job applicants who are distributed.

"The perpetrators have made 20 sheets of fake antigen rapid test letters that are used as requirements for applying for jobs from March 2021 until now June 2021," he said in Batam as reported by Antara, Monday, June 28.

He said the case stemmed from a public report received by the Operational Team of Sub-Directorate III of the Ditreskrimum of the Riau Islands Police.

From the investigation, the team secured a rapid test letter or an antigen rapid test with a letterhead and a stamp that was suspected to be fake with the supermarket or supermarket employees who used the document.

In development, the team arrested DSH at the PT AMK Batam Branch office, along with evidence in the form of office equipment to print a fake antigen rapid test letter.

According to him, DSH's activities in producing fake letters were not known to PT AMK's head office in Surabaya.

Police officers secured evidence including a portable computer, two clinic and doctor stamps, a printing press, four sheets of antigenic letters that were suspected to be fake.

The perpetrator is charged with Article 263 paragraph (1) with a maximum imprisonment of six years. On that occasion, his party appealed to the Riau Islands community to follow government regulations.

"Come on, let's use official agencies both in the context of swab and antigen tests so that we don't become victims of fraud," he said.

He emphasized that the most important thing was not to spread the virus.

The Committee for Sub-Directorate III of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Riau Islands Police, Iptu M Darma Ardiyaniki, stated that based on the investigation, this perpetrator carried out his own actions without the help of others.

"The perpetrator used a fake stamp and stamp from one of the clinics in Batam City. The victim who was harmed was the health clinic," he said.
