183 Homemade Firearms Confiscated By Lampung Regional Police

JAKARTA - A total of 183 Rakita firearms were confiscated by the Lampung Regional Police (Polda). The confiscation was carried out together with the police ranks.

"The firearms confiscated in April 2021 from Mesuji Regency and its surroundings have been destroyed," said Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Hendro Sugiatno, in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 28.

In addition, he continued, the Lampung Regional Police and their ranks have also arrested the owner of the workshop that manufactures homemade firearms and confiscated evidence of 2 homemade firearms.

His party will also take action against perpetrators of crimes, violent theft (curas), weight theft (curat), and motor vehicle theft (curanmor) by the Lampung Police and ranks.

"This is a priority, including cracking down on thuggery, we have secured 140 thugs in the jurisdiction of the Lampung Regional Police," said the former Asrena Police Chief.

The Lampung Regional Police Chief has also emphasized the "C3" case and thuggery is a priority for the Lampung Police, considering that the victims of the perpetrators are small people.

"We are very empathetic towards the victims of robbery and thuggery, who are generally small people," he said.

He also thanked the people of Lampung so far for helping the Police in uncovering cases of "C3" and thuggery. Hopefully, the hope of the people of Lampung to become a conducive area can be realized.

"People who want to take a vehicle are welcome to come to the Lampung Police Headquarters with proof of ownership (STNK, BPKB) and an official identity," said the Kapolda.

The police chief also congratulated the motorized vehicle owners who were found by the police.
