Wants To End Siri's Marriage, Man In Bali Kills His Own Wife, Then Tries To Commit Suicide
BADUNG - Pelipus Pati Ndamung (31) was arrested by the Mengwi Sector Police, Badung, Bali, for persecuting his wife, Mirsa (50). The motive is to end a series of marriages.
"The motive was because the victim wanted to end her unregistered marriage," said Head of the Badung Police Public Relations Division, Iptu Ketut Oka Bawa, Monday, June 28.
The stabbing took place on Saturday, June 26, in the boarding house room, Alley Mawar, Banjar Jumpayah, Mengwi District, Badung Regency, Bali.
A witness claimed to hear a commotion from the boarding house. But he didn't care because it was considered a normal commotion in the family.
But some time later, the witness heard a woman's scream for help. The witness immediately opened the door of the boarding house and saw that the female victim was covered in blood with wounds on her cheeks and temples.
"With this incident the witness contacted the local Pecalang Village, and contacted the Mengwi Police," added Iptu Oka Bawa.
The police immediately went to the scene of the incident and examined a number of witnesses. The perpetrator was arrested.
From the initial examination, the perpetrator admitted that he had been in an unregistered marriage for 2 years. The perpetrator admitted to assaulting the victim with a machete.
"When the perpetrator assaulted the victim, he said please help but no one heard it. Seeing the victim, it was covered in blood, the perpetrator wanted to end his life by stabbing a kitchen knife in the upper part of his heart, but the wound was not serious," said Iptu Oka.
The victim suffered stab wounds to the hands, head and face. The police also secured the machete used by the perpetrators when they assaulted the victim.
"The perpetrator injured the head, temples, cheeks, arms and other body parts of the victim by using a machete," said Iptu Oka.
