"Our efforts, from the Deputy General Chair, the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee, the regional Kadin (Kadinda) and the association have submitted objections to the National Conference in Kendari. This effort has been submitted to the General Chair but has not been heeded," he said as quoted by Antara, Sunday, 27 June.
According to Nazar, his party will submit a report to the National Police Headquarters no later than Monday (28/6). He said the holding of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry violated the provisions of the PSBB and the Health Quarantine Law because it caused crowds in the midst of soaring Covid-19 cases.
"Violations of the PSBB and the Health Quarantine Law, according to the Indonesian National Police Chief's telegram instructions to the Regional Police Chief, are punishable by criminal penalties," he said.
Nazar also assessed that the condition of Kendari City was quite apprehensive but was still forced to hold the National Conference which was planned to be attended by around 200-300 people.
"We inevitably have to take legal action. There is no other way to stop the implementation of this National Conference," he added.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee (OC) of the National Conference of Kadin, Nita Yudi, said that the OC has also intervened regarding the implementation of the National Conference. As a result, the Extraordinary Members Convention (ALB) which was originally held in Jakarta was finally implemented online.
"In this National Conference, I hope that it can be postponed, so it will be postponed. Because if you go with an uncomfortable heart, how will it feel," he said.
Even though he admits it's tough, he will still go to Kendari to review the preparations for the Kadin National Conference. Even the President, according to Palace protocol, is said to be present in Kendari.
He admitted that in terms of health protocols, even though the participants were limited, there would still be many supporters who came so that the possibility of a crowd was unavoidable.
Even the hotel facilities, according to Nita, were not sufficient for all participants, so they had to book two hotels. In addition, although the event room is quite large, there is no emergency exit.
"I don't understand why it has to be moved to Kendari, the reason is Covid but it's also in Kendari as of today (the zone) is orange," said Nita.
