COVID Update 27 June: New Daily Case Record Reaches 21,342 Positive, Stay Safe Guys!

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive COVID-19 cases for today, Sunday, June 27 at 12.00 WIB with a record addition of 21,342 cases.

This number is the highest record after previously recording a fairly large number with 21,095 positive cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, June 26.

The report also revealed that the daily cure rate increased by 8,024 with a mortality rate of 409 cases.

In detail, the highest increase in positive cases occurred in DKI Jakarta with a record 9,394 cases. This figure reflects that the capital region accounts for almost half of all confirmed cases today nationwide.

Followed by West Java with 3,988 cases, Central Java with 2,288 cases, East Java with 889 cases, and DI Yogyakarta with 830 cases.

Meanwhile, for areas with the most recovery, DKI Jakarta contributed 3,506 people, West Java with 1,195 people, East Java with 497 people, and Central Java with 420 people.

Then, the highest death rate was in West Java with 93 cases, Central Java with 69 cases, East Java with 64 cases, and DKI Jakarta with 51 cases.

In terms of vaccination, it was recorded that 27,115,763 people received phase I vaccine with a special addition today of 1,083,632 people.

Then, for the second phase of the vaccine, it is known that it has been distributed to 13,109,031 people with the addition of 90,507 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target targeted by the government for the current period is 40,349,049.

Recently, the government through the Ministry of Health confirmed that it had succeeded in achieving the target of 1.31 million vaccinations per day on Saturday, June 26. This result is earlier than the target set by President Joko Widodo, which is starting in the next July period.

Meanwhile, the vaccination target was achieved thanks to mutual cooperation with all parties, especially the TNI/Polri, local governments, SOEs, and the private sector who helped accelerate this strategic program.
