OIC Of South Sumatra Enters Yellow Zone For The Spread Of COVID-19, Inspections On Prokes In Crowded Places Continue

SUMSEL - Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, has entered the yellow zone for the spread of COVID-19 after several weeks before being in the orange zone.

The Head of the Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) District Health Office, Iwan Setiawan, said the district government still asked the public to be vigilant about the spread of COVID-19 even though it was already in the low-level transmission zone.

"The zone is under control, but remains vigilant because the addition of cases in other areas continues to grow," he said in Kayuagung as reported by Antara, Saturday, June 26.

Iwan continued that the occupancy rate of the hospital isolation room at OKI is currently still safe, which is at 24 percent.

However, the Health Office still invites the public to always apply health protocols with discipline and strictness.

The OKI Regency Government also continues to monitor the implementation of health protocols in crowded places, one of which is in traditional markets. Ogan Komering Ilir District together with the OIC Civil Service Police and Firefighters Unit disciplined traders and visitors to the Kayuagung Market last Friday, June 25.

Head of the Trade Service, Alamsyah, said that the health protocol inspection activity was aimed at reminding the public, especially in public places, to comply.

This activity is to remind them to continue to comply with health protocols in public places such as at the Kayuagung Market, he said.

The joint officers also distributed masks to every visitor who came. "So that we together continue to apply the discipline of health protocols to stop the transmission of COVID-19," he said.
