Sad News From Bantul: Daily Positive COVID-19 Breaks Record To 492 Cases

JAKARTA - Positive confirmation cases of COVID-19 in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Saturday, June 26, again broke a new record with the addition of 492 cases, after Friday, June 25, an increase of 412 cases or the highest since the pandemic.

Antara reported that data from the Bantul COVID-19 Task Force on social media pages of the Bantul Regency Government stated that with this addition, the total positive cases rose to 19,444 people, an increase from the previous number of 18,952 people.

The additional 492 new cases were mostly from Sewon District 128 people, followed by Banguntapan 65 people, then Sedayu 43 people, and Dlingo 41 people, Jetis 36 people, Kasihan 31 people, Pundong 30 people, and Kretek 22 people.

Then from Pandak 21 people, Pleret 21 people, Bantul 17 people, Imogiri also 17 people, and Srandakan 12 people, the rest from Sanden three people, and Bambanglipuro three people, and Piyungan two people.

However, during this period there were 114 recovered COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of recovered cases from the corona in Bantul to 15,070 people.

While the confirmed cases of COVID-19 who died increased by four people, from Bambanglipuro, Jetis, Pandak, and Banguntapan, bringing the total death cases in Bantul to 454 people.

With the development of COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the number of positive confirmed patients who are still in isolation and quarantine in shelters and hospitals as of Saturday is 3,920 people.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bantul, Abdul Halim Muslih, constantly invites the people of Bantul to comply with the Micro PPKM policy, and to be disciplined in applying the 5M health protocol, because that is the key to success in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The point is the awareness that this is our common interest, not just the government's interest, therefore the government and the people must unite, work together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
