JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is targeting 1,258,556 doses of vaccine to be injected in the National Police's mass vaccination activity which was held simultaneously at 34 regional police stations throughout Indonesia, Saturday, June 26.
"To meet the target of 1 million people being vaccinated per day, we need to accelerate the vaccination program with proper organization," said National Police Chief Sigit in a written statement quoted from Antara.
National Police Chief Sigit said the government is targeting the formation of national herd immunity of 70-80 percent of the total population of Indonesia through mass vaccination.
The government, he said, has set a target for vaccination of 181 million people from Indonesia's 270 million population.
"To achieve this target, the target is 1 million vaccines per day, but so far the government has reached 700 thousand vaccines per day," said Sigit.
The National Police took part in supporting the national vaccination attack program by carrying out mass vaccinations in the context of Bhayangkara's 75th Anniversary at 34 regional police stations and ranks throughout Indonesia.
This mass vaccination activity is in line with the big theme of Bhayangkara's 75th Anniversary, namely 'Precise Police Transformation Supports Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling for Healthy Communities and National Economic Recovery Towards Advanced Indonesia',
"The National Police together with the TNI and the Regional Government (Pemda) are holding a simultaneous nationwide vaccination campaign today," said Sigit.
The former Banten Police Chief said that the vaccine attack was carried out at 4,838 points covering all regional police buildings, regional police stations/polrestabes, police stations throughout the GOR, stadiums, terminals, district/city squares, district/city halls, village halls, health centers, sub-district offices. to the parking area of malls or hotels in Indonesia.
"This mass vaccination involves 54,482 vaccinators, with a target of 1,258,556 people being vaccinated today," said the National Police Chief.
