Mount Manggalapi Patrolling, Greater Madago Task Force Patrol Finds MIT Terrorist DPO Camp

POSO - The Task Force III Pursuit Team for the Operations of Madago Raya found a lodge suspected of hiding the Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terrorist group during patrols and sweeps on Mount Manggalapi, Sri Rejeki Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency.

Head of Madago Raya Public Relations Task Force VI, Kombes Didik Supranoto, in a written statement received in Jakarta, Saturday, June 26, said that the Bravo 16 Team found the hut.

"After an examination by the Madago Raya Task Force, various kinds of evidence were found in the Manggalapi mountains, Sri Rejeki Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency," Didik said as quoted by Antara.

He explained that this discovery began when the Bravo 16 Team carried out patrol activities in the Manggalapi mountain area, Sri Rejeki Village, Palolo District at around 17.00 WITA.

The Bravo 16 team received reports from the public that one of the huts in the Manggalapi mountains was suspected of being a hideout and camp for the MIT terrorist DPO.

The Bravo 16 bulkhead post together with residents checked the hut and found several items of evidence that allegedly belonged to members of the Poso MIT DPO group.

"This Poso MIT terrorist group is moving around, with the discovery of a hut in the Manggalapi mountains, our Madago Raya Operations Task Force urges the public to be able to assist the security forces by not providing information or logistics to the DPO group," said Didik.

Didik also said that currently the Pursuit Team of the Madago Raya Action Task Force continues to pursue the Poso MIT terrorist group, allegedly still hiding in the Manggalapi mountains.

"The situation in Poso, Sigi and Parimo Regencies is safe and conducive, if the public knows or sees suspicious people, they should immediately report to the nearest apparatus," Didit appealed.

After finding a lodge suspected of being a hiding place for the MIT Poso terrorist DPO group, the Madago Raya Task Force Action Team conducted an investigation of the crime scene.

The evidence found consisted of 25 types, bags, various kinds of sharp weapons, cellphones, tools, walkie talkies, food ingredients, cooking utensils, clothing, solar cells or semi-conductor tools, and so on.

"All evidence has been submitted by the Madago Raya Task Force to the Poso Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further investigation," said Didik.

The following 25 kinds of evidence were found at the hideout post of the terrorist group DPO MIT Poso.

1. Four black assembled/homemade duffel bags

2. Two long machetes

3. One piece of wood saw size 50 cm

4. One hacksaw size 30 cm

5. One wooden stick with a branched end with a length of 1 meter 10cm

6. One black and white Nokia cell phone without battery with imei number

7. Three pieces of cloth scissors

8. One black HT brand WIERWEI

9. several rounds of air rifle

10. Food ingredients, drinks & cooking utensils

11. Seven HP chargers

12. Two USB cables

13. One container for peples

14. One Avo meter tool

15. Five hammocks made of sarong and nylon rope.

16. Three Solar cell devices consist of:

- one solar cell size 49 cm x 35 cm

- two solar cells measuring 50 cm x 42 cm

17. Four 5 liter white jerry cans

18. One vest is made of black brown cloth M

19. Three jungle hats

20. Four black topo koplo/seboh

21. Seven pairs of black long socks

22. 4 blankets

23. Four long sleeve shirts

24. Two strips of striped short sleeves

25. One sheet of robe.
