Great! Ambon Police Distribute Free Data Credit For Underprivileged Students, Give Basic Foods Too
AMBON - The Chief of Police for Ambon Island and Lease Islands, Kombes Leo SN Simatupang distributed free data credit assistance to 250 students in Ambon City whose families are classified as poor.
"The total data credit given to these students is IDR 25 million to help them in the online teaching and learning process," said the Police Chief, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 25.
In addition to free data credit, the Ambon Police also carries out other social service activities in the form of distributing basic necessities to residents who really need them.
This social service activity began with a ceremony led by the Chief of Police at the Ambon Polresta apple field and was attended by key officials and all Polresta personnel.
According to Kombes Leo, today's social service activities are in order to welcome the 75th Anniversary of Bhayangkara on July 1.
"The provision of free data pulses of Rp. 25 million for 250 underprivileged students in Ambon City in helping the online teaching and learning process/zoom meeting, where one student is allotted data pulses for Rp. 100,000," he continued.
Then for the provision of basic necessities from the Police in the form of 150 sacks to becak drivers, cleaners, parking attendants and several foundations or orphanages in Ambon City.
For example, at the Santa Maria Orphanage and the Nurul Ikhlas Foundation in the Ahuru area, Karangpanjang Village, and the Ittaqolah Education Foundation in Clove Gardens.
In addition, the Ambon Police also provided free masks of 1,500 pieces to road users, pedicab drivers, parking attendants, traders and public transport passengers at several locations on roads in Ambon City to outside the city.
"This social service activity aims to help people whose economy is classified as weak, underprivileged students, and also residents who are considered not to comply with health protocols properly.
