JAKARTA - The body of COVID-19 in Pademangan, North Jakarta with the initials I (46) was just evacuated at his house the day after he died.
The head of RT 07/ RW 011 West Pademangan, Sudarto, said that the body was supposed to be buried by the family when he died at his home on Thursday, June 24. However, it has not been implemented because the officers who took care of the bodies did not come.
"This is actually a report from yesterday, mas. As soon as he died, he was immediately reported to the West Pademangan Health Center, but the report only entered the North Jakarta Health Sub-department at around 18.00 WIB, assisted by the Chair of the North Jakarta Community Early Awareness Forum, Mrs. Ratih," said Sudarto when met by Antara at the location, Friday, June 25.
Sudarto said that the puskesmas promised to transport the bodies on Friday at 09.00 WIB, but they did not come.
Then the family was promised again that the body would be removed at 18.00 WIB, but it did not arrive until 21.18 WIB.
The family only learned that the body was positive for COVID-19 after he died. A PCR swab test was carried out on June 16.
"They said they were otw (on their way), but they haven't come yet, so we are confused," said the representative of the family of the body, Sumiati, when met at the location.
Head of the North Jakarta Health Sub-dept., Dr. Yudi Dimyati, when contacted, said that he had bridged the report to the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forests Service.
"We have reported to the City Parks and Forests Service, the relocation team from the funeral service has launched," said Yudi at around 20.24 WIB.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Parks and Urban Forest Service, Suzi Marsitawati, said officers had delivered the coffin to the family at 13.00 WIB.
"Our job is actually to deliver the coffin and take it to the TPU. The cleaning should be carried out by the Monas Team and Puskesmas officers. So when the Parks Service arrived, the body had not been scoured. My officers had returned to the location," said Suzi.
"Now the condition of the body is being prepared and will be buried soon. The tomb and officers are ready. Thank you," said Suzi.
