Good News For Tourists, Tourist Attractions in West Bandung Reopen

JAKARTA - The Department of Tourism and Culture of West Bandung Regency, West Java, has allowed tourist attractions to be reopened to receive visitors after the area is declared to be in the orange zone.

Head of Department of Tourism and Culture of West Bandung Regency, Heri Partomo, said the reopening of tourist attractions was by the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs related to tightening Micro Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) by the alert level status.

"That's right, it has been opened by the provisions where West Bandung Regency is in the orange zone", said Heri in Bandung, West Java, quoted from Antara, Friday, June 25.

Even though they are open, according to him, tourist attractions are only allowed to accept visitors as much as 25 percent of the total capacity of each tourist spot.

Previously, several tourist destinations in West Bandung were closed from 16 to 22 June 2021 because the area was in the red zone status.

Then, the West Bandung Regency Government plans to extend the closure until June 29, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Regent of West Bandung, Hengky Kurniawan, said that based on the evaluation of West Bandung, it is now in the orange zone until the tourist destination has now regained relaxation.

The rules are contained in Circular Number: 360/16141614-BPBD/2021 concerning Control of the Spread of COVID-19 and the Enforcement of Micro Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) in the West Bandung Regency area.

"Because it is legally allowed. Yesterday, Disparbud asked for permission, yes, the important thing is that the process must be strict", said Hengky.
