PAPUA - Papua Governor Lukas Enembe's health condition is reported to be improving. Lukas Enambe is scheduled to return from his treatment and arrive in his country in early July 2021.

At the place of treatment, Governor Lukas ordered all officials in the Papua Provincial Government to prioritize their integrity in carrying out their work.

"In addition, he stressed that systematic coordination also needs to be maximized at every level of officials in the Papua Provincial Government and effective communication should also be carried out in the administration of government," explained Papua Governor Spokesperson Muhammad Rifai Darus in Jayapura, Friday, June 25. .

Elites in Papua were also asked not to be noisy discussing filling the seat of deputy governor of Papua after the death of the late Klemen Tinal.

"The Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, asks that all respect the customs that apply until the 40 days of mourning (late) Klemen Tinal have passed," he said.

He explained, Lukas Enembe asked the Papuan people to always obey the health protocols, given the condition of the spread of COVID-19 again increasing in a number of areas.

"Especially from the information obtained from the Papua Province COVID-19 Task Force which stated that there were indications that a new variant of COVID-19 Delta or Gen B1617.2 had entered Papua," he said.
