Following Erick Thohir's Direction, GIS Is Ready To Implement The New Normal Scenario

JAKARTA - The state-owned cement company, PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is fully committed to supporting all government efforts in overcoming and breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19. As a follow-up to the Letter of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) No S-336 / MBU / 05/2020 dated 15 May 2020 concerning "Anticipating The New Normal BUMN Scenario", SIG has compiled The New Normal scenario within GIS and its subsidiaries. .

Director of Human Capital & Legal SIG, Tina T Kemala Intan revealed that SIG will carry out its business operations in the midst of The New Normal directed by the Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir, equipped with adequate protection and health protocols that prioritize the safety of employees and the community.

"GIS has proactively followed the government's appeal and policies to protect workers and the public from the threat of a pandemic in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention protocol in all company operational areas. After two months of implementing physical distancing and work form home (WFH), employees and the public are getting used to it. with the condition of The New Normal, "said Tina T Kemala Intan to reporters, Wednesday, May 20.

GM of Corporate Communication SIG, Sigit Wahono added that the scenario of The New Normal SIG is guided by the policies of the Ministry of SOEs and government guidance through the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health.

"We have formed a centralized COVID-19 Handling Task Force involving all functional units and all subsidiaries under the command of the Director of Human Capital & Legal SIG. The scenario of The New Normal is adjusted by taking into account the uniqueness and related policies in each operational area of the company. This scenario will be carried out after Hari Raya followed by strict protocol for handling COVID-19, "said Sigit Wahono.
