PALANGKA RAYA - There are still people who spread hoaxes related to COVID-19. In fact, COVID-19 cases have broken new records during the pandemic since March 2020, even a number of hospitals have been overwhelmed with treating patients.
Cases of spreading hoaxes occurred in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. There are young people who spread hoaxes about COVID-19 and hoaxes that vaccines from China can kill people.
They both apologized. Through a video statement uploaded to the Central Kalimantan Police Public Relations Instagram account, the two promised not to do it again.
"I, Putri Novalia, a resident of Palangka Rraya, hereby apologize for spreading the word about all sick people associated with COVID. I hereby promise not to do it again," he said.
Even with Adi Mulianto, who also spread the COVID-19 vaccine from China that can kill people. Through a videotape he apologized.
“I apologize for my mistake in spreading the hoax about the Chinese vaccine that killed you. I apologize to my friends and locals, I promise not to do it again, if I do it again I am ready to accept the sanctions," he said.
More than 18 thousand new cases of COVID-19 todayThe Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 140,915 specimens were examined with the result that there were 18,872 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2,072,867 people and active cases are 181,435," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, June 25.
Today's recovered cases increased by 8,557 cases, bringing the total to 1,835,061 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 422 people and a total of 56,371 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 6,934 cases and a total of 501,396 cases. Followed by West Java which has 3,846 new cases with a total of 360,528 cases. Central Java has 2,118 new cases and a total of 241,936 cases. Then, East Java has 975 new cases and a total of 167,806 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,571 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1,949 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 1,260 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 509 recovered cases.
There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely North Kalimantan. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 19,283,664.
