Police Search BPJS Office For 3 Days Investigate Cases Of Burglary 279 Population Data

JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Body searched the BPJS office in the Central Jakarta area. The search was carried out for three days related to the case of the burglary of 279 million population data.

"A search was carried out on June 8, 9 and 10, 2021 at the BPJS Health office on the BPJS Health server in Central Jakarta," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Friday, June 25.

In addition, the investigative team also confiscated several pieces of evidence in the form of two laptops allegedly related to the case. Later, the investigation team will analyze the contents of the laptop.

"Currently, forensic analysis and examination are still being carried out on the two laptops used," he said.

In fact, Ramadhan said that the investigative team had looked at the BPJS Health database. However, he refused to elaborate further on this matter. "The Cyber Forensic Bareskrim Team has seen the BPJS Health database directly on June 10," he said.

For information, the data leak became known after the @ndagels account tweeted that at least 279 million data belonging to Indonesian citizens (WNI) were sold by hackers. The data leak includes not only the Population Identification Number (NIK) but also the status of life or death to salary.
