Bullet For My Valentine Prepare A Brutal, Heavy, And Technical Album

JAKARTA - Bullet For My Valentine frontman, Matt Tuck, gave the latest leak about the development of their new album. He said the album was brutal, heavy, and technical.

The Welsh band, who released their album Gravity two years ago, seem to have a total of seven demos and are ready to finish their seventh studio album.

Revealing the news to Rock Sound (via Blabbermouth), Tuck explained BFMV had a good start working on new material before the COVID-19 crisis stopped their pace.

"So it (resuming recording in times of a pandemic) is not ideal, and we do have a lot of plans for the rest of the year to write songs and make records, which are now in demo form, and will continue until further notice," said Tuck.

When asked about the character sound of their new album, Tuck replied: "This album is pretty brutal, to be honest. It's no more in contrast to Gravity in its fierce style. It's very technical.

"I don't know why. You just have to do what you want to do - as a band, as a musician, as a songwriter, you just have to go with the flow that is under your boat, and this time, the grim stuff just came out.

“The riffs are savage. There's probably 60 percent aggressive vocals, 40 [percent] clean vocals, this is a ratio we've never tried before. "

He continued: "This album is very heavy, very technical. For the Bullet fans out there who love this side of the band, this album is really cool and really fun. It feels cool."

Tuck also emphasized that the task of producing this album was re-executed by Carl Bown, who worked on Gravity and Venom's previous album. On the latter album, Bown served as co-producer with Colin Richardson.
