Good News For TNI Soldiers On Duty In Papua, They Have Prepared Houses Ready For Occupancy
JAKARTA - The TNI Army Headquarters (AD Headquarters) has prepared official houses and barracks ready for habitation for soldiers in the 403rd Infantry Battalion/Wirasada Pratista who are currently serving in the Papua region.
"Soldiers of the 403rd Infantry Battalion have now left for Papua, so before the members leave the housing has already begun to be built," said the Commander of the 072 Pamungkas Yogyakarta Military Command (Danrem) Brigadier General (Brigjen) TNI IB Setiawan in Yogyakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, June 24.
The construction of the type 54 official residence will be a separate moral support for soldiers who are on duty because then they will be determined to return to Yogyakarta in good health, meet their children and wives, and occupy a new official residence.
"So when they come back they will occupy a new house," he said.
In total, there are 69 units of official residences, offices, and other facilities that have been renovated with a budget of Rp. 35 billion in 2020. For 2021 the Indonesian Army will again renovate 90 official houses, barracks, and a number of supporting facilities for soldiers in the 403rd Wirasada Pratista Infantry Battalion. and cost Rp 50 billion.
Meanwhile, the executor of the construction of the official house in Battalion 403 Wirasada Pratista Harseno Lukita said that before the renovation, the type 36 official house was in a fairly severe condition. Starting from the ceiling to the roof is already leaking.
"The design of this house was made by Kasad (General Andika Perkasa)," he said.
In addition, he said, Kasad advised that the construction of the official house strengthen aesthetic values by adding variations of natural stone and so on.
Meanwhile, one of the TNI soldiers in Battalion 403 Wirasada Pratista Chief Sergeant Andi W admitted that he was happy with the renovation of the official house which was directly assisted by the TNI AD through the direction of Kasad General TNI Andika Perkasa.
He said that while living in the barracks, many facilities were damaged, starting from the roof, water sanitation, and so on. However, currently TNI soldiers in Battalion 403 Wirasada Pratista no longer need to think about repairing roof tiles when it rains because they have been renovated.
