Bule Robbery Specialist In Bali Arrested, Crime Money Used By Online Gambling
GIANYAR - The robbers who targeted foreign tourists in the Gianyar Regency, Bali were arrested. The two perpetrators of robbery with Caucasians in Bali are recidivist of the same case.
The head of the Sukawati, Gianyar Police, AKP I Made Ariawan said that the perpetrators of the robbery, namely I Ketut Toko Pastika Jaya and I Wayan Mupu, took a Caucasian from Russia.

The mugging of Caucasians in Gianyar Bali occurred on Jalan Singapadu, Banjar Sengguan. When snatching, the victim resisted until the perpetrator fell.
Incidentally at that time there were police near the scene. One of the perpetrators was arrested, the other person fled.
"From the statement of the suspect, I Ketut Toko Pastika Jaya, he admitted that he had committed theft together with his friend, I Wayan Mupu," added AKP Ariawan.
The police also arrested the perpetrators of Mupu on Tuesday, June 15 in Denpasar Bali. However, when arrested, the suspect tried to fight the police.
"When he was arrested, he fought back and wanted to run away, even threw away a small child who was being carried, and bit our members' hands when they were taken into custody," he added.
From the preliminary examination, the suspect admitted that he had snatched at 14 locations in the last 3 months. The mugging area is Jalan Sunset Road, Kuta to Sukawati, Gianyar.
"They are specialists in snatching tourists' cellphones, waiting and watching the tourists off guard when using their cellphones to view Google Maps, that's when they snatched their victims," said AKP Ariawan.
The cellphones that were stolen were sold by the perpetrators online to Serang, Banten and Solo. "The sales proceeds are used for online and daily gambling by the perpetrators," he said.
The perpetrators are known to have both been convicted of robbery. The perpetrators were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code.
