These Are The Countries That Qualified For The Round Of 16 Of Euro 2020, Note The Match Schedule

JAKARTA - The four teams that were considered to be seeded before the Euro 2020 tournament, namely Belgium, England, Germany, and Portugal, were met in the round of 16 after the entire group stage series was completed on Thursday morning WIB.

The following is the list of matches and fixtures for the last 16 of Euro 2020:

Wales vs Denmark @ Amsterdam (June 26 at 23.00 WIB)

Wales qualified for the round of 16 as runners-up in Group A with four points despite a 0-1 defeat in their last match against Italy.

Denmark seemed to be encouraged by the collapse of Christian Eriksen in the opening match of Group B and was able to escape as runners-up thanks to a heroic victory against Russia in the final match.

Wales vs Denmark match will open a series of rounds of 16 at the Johan Cruijff Arena Stadium, Amsterdam, on Saturday, June 26 at 23.00 WIB.

The two teams have met 10 times in history with Wales winning just four and Denmark six, including the last two meetings in the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League.

Italy vs Austria @ London (June 27 at 02.00 WIB)

Italy was the first team to qualify for the last 16 and they completed it by sweeping Group A after beating Wales 1-0.

Austria made history when they beat Ukraine and for the first time qualified for the knockout stages of the Euros, as runners-up in Group C with six points.

The match Italy vs Austria will be one of the two Euro 2020 rounds of 16 matches played in London and kick-off is scheduled for Sunday, June 27 at 02.00 WIB.

Apart from being the tournament seed, Italy also has a record of not losing against Austria in the last 13 meetings, 10 of which they have won.

The Netherlands vs Czech Republic @ Budapest (June 27 at 23.00 WIB)

The Netherlands qualified for the round of 16 as winners of Group C and are the most productive team in the preliminary round with a collection of eight goals, and for the third time in history, they have swept the Euro group stage after the 2000 and 2008 editions.

The Czechs should be disappointed that in the end they only qualified for the round of 16 as third in Group C because in the final match they lost 0-1 against England and in the other match Croatia overtook them with a 3-1 win over Scotland.

The Dutch vs Czech match will be played at the Puskas Arena, Budapest, on Sunday, June 27 at 23,000 WIB.

The Czechs may not be more seeded than the Netherlands, but their record of meeting the two teams has the advantage of five wins, three draws, and three defeats. The last two meetings were even won by the Czechs in the qualifying phase of Euro 2016, which was also responsible for keeping the Netherlands out of the main round.

Belgium vs Portugal @ Sevilla (June 28 at 02.00 WIB)

Belgium is one of three teams who can wipe out a group stage win and qualify as winners of Group B after breaking the hearts of tournament debutants Finland in the last match.

Portugal for two consecutive editions has again qualified for the round of 16 with the status of one of the four best third places in the group stage after placing third in Group F, which is called the hell group.

Belgium vs Portugal match is a match between the FIFA first ranked team and the defending Euro champions which are scheduled to take place at the La Cartuja Stadium, Sevilla, on Monday, June 28 at 02.00 WIB.

Belgium is unbeaten against Portugal in the last five meetings including winning three of them.

Croatia vs Spain @ Copenhagen ( June 28 at 23.00 WIB)

Croatia proved the runner-up status of the 2018 World Cup was no coincidence by beating Scotland 3-1 in the last match of Group D to qualify as runners-up.

Spain, who started the adventure in Group E with two draws, seemed to open the tap in the last game to crush Slovakia 5-0 and qualify as runners-up.

Croatia vs Spain will be played at Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, on Monday (28/6) starting at 23.00 WIB.

The two teams last met in the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League, where Spain won the first game by a landslide score of 6-0 before Croatia responded with "only" 3-2.

France vs Switzerland @ Bucharest (June 29 at 02.00 WIB)

France qualified as winners of Group F with a relatively inferior result with only five points, just three years after winning the 2018 World Cup.

Switzerland is the first team to qualify through the best third-placed group stage with four points and a goal difference of one deficit in Group A.

France and Switzerland will fly to Bucharest, Romania, to play their match at the National Arena Stadium on Tuesday, June 29 at 02.00 WIB.

Five years ago the two teams met in Group A of Euro 2016 and shared a point after a 0-0 draw, but France is almost three decades without a defeat against Switzerland. The last time this happened was in 1992 in a friendly which Switzerland won 2-1.

England vs Germany @ London (June 29 at 23.00 WIB)

Qualifying as winners of Group D, England is the team with the most minimal goal productivity among the other group winning teams, which is only two goals.

Germany qualified as runners-up in Group F after being almost surprised by Hungary and finally managed to match their opponent with a score of 2-2 in the final match.

England is clearly the favorite because they will host Germany at Wembley, London, on Tuesday, June 29 at 23.00 WIB, and the opponent is likely to be without fans because of regulations related to COVID-19 require visitors to undergo a 10-day quarantine upon arrival in England.

Germany has been the source of England's disappointment in prestigious tournaments year after year, including the loss on penalties in the Euro 1996 semi-final which was also played at Wembley at the time.

Sweden vs Ukraine @ Glasgow (June 30 at 02.00 WIB)

Sweden qualified for the round of 16 as winners of Group E after a dramatic 3-2 win over Poland which followed their success against seeded Spain in the first game.

Ukraine is one of the teams that have taken advantage of the best third-placed path to qualify for the last 16 despite only picking up three points and a one-goal deficit in Group C.

Sweden vs Ukraine will be played at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on Wednesday, June 30 at 02.00 WIB. This was reported by Antara.
