Sad News From Yogyakarta, As Many As 1,411 People Died Due To COVID-19
JAKARTA - Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Government recorded the number of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 23, an increase of 694 people bringing the total to 54,672 cases.
As reported by Antara, Thursday, June 24, Spokesperson for the Yogyakarta Regional Government for Handling COVID-19, Berty Murtiningsih, in a written statement in Yogyakarta, Wednesday, said, based on the area of domicile, the 694 positive patients were mostly from Bantul reaching 282 people, followed by Sleman Regency 202 people, Yogyakarta City 96 people, Kulon Progo 75 people, and Gunung Kidul 39 people.
Meanwhile, when referring to case histories, as many as 475 patients were traced to positive contact cases, 5 cases were screened by health employees, one trip outside the region, 195 self-checks, and 18 people had no information. An additional 273 patients recovered, bringing the total number of recovered COVID-19 cases in Yogyakarta to 46,386 people.
Based on the area of domicile, the 273 recovered patients consisted of 36 people from Yogyakarta City, 89 people from Bantul Regency, 37 people from Gunung Kidul, 31 people from Kulon Progo, and 80 people from Sleman Regency.
In addition, Berty recorded the number of deaths of 17 patients, bringing the total number of deaths in Yogyakarta to 1,411 people.
Based on data from referral hospitals, the total number of COVID-19 suspects in Yogyakarta, as of Wednesday, June 23, was 43,828 people.
A total of 140 units of special critical isolation beds in DIY are available, now 94 units are used. Meanwhile, 1,094 non-critical beds are available and 830 units have been used.
