National Police Chief Sigit: Vaccines Stop The Spread Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the mass vaccination program was carried out to suppress the spread of COVID-19, in addition to the implementation of the Micro PPKM.

This was conveyed by the National Police Chief Sigit when reviewing the mass vaccination at Tanjung Priok Port with the TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.

"(Vaccine) To stop the spread of COVID-19 by implementing micro PPKM and mass vaccination," said National Police Chief Sigit in an official statement, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 23.

In addition to reviewing the mass vaccination program at Tanjung Priok Port, the two TNI-Polri leaders also reviewed the Micro PPKM in Marunda Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta.

During this visit, the TNI Commander and the National Police Chief had a dialogue with the Sector Police, Danramil, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas and village health officers regarding the safety of residents who had just returned home, as well as handling residents exposed to COVID-19.
