Was Destroyed Until Residents Demonstrated, Deleted Insulation Command Post In Suramadu
SURABAYA - Joint officers of the TNI/Polri with the government have removed the blockade on the Suramadu Bridge starting today. The separation is focused on the red zone area in Bangkalan Regency, Madura.
"So, the isolation from both the Surabaya and Madura sides in Suramadu has been removed. The partition has been moved to the Bangkalan area, which is the red zone," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, Wednesday, June 23.
In Bangkalan, continued Gatot, there are eight villages/kelurahan in five sub-districts with red zone status or high risk, with the highest spread of COVID-19.
Those are Kraton, Pejagan, Bancaran Villages, each of which is located in Bangkalan District. Then Arosbaya Village and Tengket Village (Arosbaya District), Moarah Village (Klampis District), Kombangan Village (Geger District) and Tunjung Village (Burneh District).
"In that area, micro PPKM was applied strictly," he said.
With the removal of the insulation in Suramadu, continued Gatot, the examination of the Exit Permit (SIKM) will also be abolished. So that the policy will be carried out in isolation in eight red zones, and several areas in Madura.
"In Suramadu there is no more SIKM inspection, it has been shifted to the red zone area blockage in Bangkalan. So that later the SIKM inspection will be carried out there, there are several blocking posts in Sampang, Bangkalan where SIKM will be asked for," he said.

Gatot continued, based on the results of the analysis and evaluation, the blocking post on the Suramadu Bridge was lifted. Gatot claimed there was a decrease in cases from residents who were swab at the Suramadu blockage.
"The isolation in Suramadu has been 14 days, and we continue to analyze that there has been a decline in the number of people who are positive for COVID-19, so we have shifted it to eight villages in the five sub-districts," he said.
From all these efforts, Gatot hopes that the spread of COVID-19 in eight red-zone villages in five Bangkalan sub-districts can be immediately overcome.
"Hopefully in the future these eight red zones can become orange, yellow, and even green zones," said Gatot.
