As Many As 16 Percent Of Participants Who Take The Pre-Employment Card Survey, Use Incentives To Pay Debt

JAKARTA - The Implementation Management of the Pre-Employment Cards collected survey results from several beneficiaries of the first to third batches who had finished implementing training and received incentives. Based on incoming data, 16 percent of program participants use cash assistance to pay debts.

Denni Puspa Purbasari, Executive Director of Implementing Management Card, said that until May 18, his party recorded that 500 participants had filled out the survey provided. He said that one of the questions in the survey actually touched on the use of cash incentives provided by the government to participants.

"As many as 16 percent of the participants answered that they used the assistance to pay credit or debt," he said, in a video conference with journalists, Tuesday, May 19.

Then, continued Denni, 23 percent of the other participants answered using incentives to save in the midst of the corona virus or COVID-19 pandemic.

"Meanwhile, most of them answered to meet daily needs and increase business capital," he said.

As is known, the government provided an incentive of IDR 3.55 million for the beneficiaries of the Pre-Work Card, of the total amount of assistance, IDR 1 million was used for training costs which cannot be disbursed in cash.

Then, the remaining Rp2.4 million received by participants after being deducted by training costs is a cash incentive given in stages over four months. Each month, participants will receive Rp. 600 thousand in assistance and another Rp. 150 thousand is given for the cost of three surveys.

It should be noted that online training is a requirement that must be met by participants of the Pre-Employment Card program to get the cash incentive.

In addition, Denni explained, the survey, which cost Rp. 150 thousand, also asked participants about their motivation to take part in the training from the Pre-employment Card program.

According to Denni, the results of the survey said that the majority of participants admitted that they wanted to get a course that suited their job needs. Then, another reason is that participants want to develop themselves into entrepreneurs.

"Then the next answer is they want to get additional income. So, from the responses that come in, it can be seen that the beneficiaries are rational and smart in choosing training," he explained.

Denni explained, of all the participants who were netted in three waves, 350 thousand people had completed the training, and of that number as many as 300 thousand people had registered post-training incentives.

For your information, until the third batch, the number of applicants for the Pre-Employment Card has reached 10.4 million people. Meanwhile, the number of participants selected for three registrations was 680 thousand people.
