Out Of Money, Men In Kuta Steal Dozens Of Shampoo Bottles To Resell To Warung
BADUNG - Police arrested a thief with the initials FN (45) from Cimahi, West Java. FN stole dozens of bottles of shampoo at a mini market in Kuta, Badung, Bali, to resell them to stalls.
"The perpetrator admitted his actions and admitted that he had no money so he had the intention to commit theft," said Kuta Police Chief Commissioner I Nyoman Gatra, Wednesday, June 23.
The perpetrator was arrested after stealing at Alfamart, Jalan Uluwatu, Kuta on Sunday, June 20. The employee caught the perpetrator stealing a shampoo bottle.
When the perpetrator passed the cashier without paying, the employee immediately followed the perpetrator to the motorcycle parking lot. There the perpetrator was caught keeping two bottles of shampoo in his pants.
Because he was caught, the perpetrator immediately fled on his motorbike until the thief shouted at him.
"Finally, the people who heard the screams followed suit and finally the perpetrators were arrested," said Gatra.
The perpetrator admitted that he had stolen shampoo bottles several times, such as Circle K, Indomaret to Alfamart in Kerobokan, Sunset Road Kuta and Kedonganan.
The police secured evidence including money from the sale of stolen goods, shampoo, toothpaste and Telkomsel's starter pack.
"Until now, the perpetrators have been in action for two days. The stolen goods have been sold to stalls in the Dalung (Badung) area," said Gatra.
