Mine Cluster Appears Again In Bulungan, 24 Workers Exposed To COVID-19
TARAKAN - The cluster of COVID-19 cases in the mining area has re-emerged in Klubir Village, North Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. A total of 24 workers were confirmed positive.
"The cluster at a coal mining company in Klubir Village is due to close contact," said Head of Public Relations of the Bulungan Regency Health Office, Heriyadi Suranta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 22.
Based on data from the Health Office of the Bulungan Regency Government on Tuesday, the number of COVID-19 cases increased by 28 people.
The number of patients who recovered from COVID-19 was four people and the number of active confirmed cases was 183 people.
The cases of positive COVID-19 patients in Bulungan spread to seven people in Bunyu District, 116 people in Tanjung Selor and 15 in Tanjung Palas.
Then the North Tanjung Palas Subdistrict as many as 41 people, Peso as many as two people and from outside the area as many as one person.
Meanwhile, the Tanjung Palas Health Center, Bulungan, which was closed on 17-22 June 2021, was due to 10 positive health workers for COVID-19.
"Starting tomorrow, Wednesday (23/6) the Tanjung Palas Health Center will be able to serve the community again. The spraying of disinfectants has been completed," said Heriyadi.
