Files Returned, Police Hold Case Of Alleged Sale And Purchase Of Positions Of Former Nganjuk Regent

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has conducted a case of alleged corruption in the sale and purchase of positions with the suspect, the former Regent of Nganjuk, East Java, Novi Rahman Hidayat. The case title is carried out as a follow-up to the return of the investigation file by the prosecutor.

"Develop the case to determine the next step according to the prosecutor's instructions in completing the case file," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono in his statement, Tuesday, June 22.

However, Rusdi did not specify the notes from the research prosecutor that must be included in the investigation file. He only said the file was returned on June 18 last.

"The case was held today," he said.

Previously, the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency named seven suspects in the alleged bribery case related to filling the positions of village officials and sub-district heads in the Nganjuk Regency Government, East Java.

As recipients, namely Novi Rahman Hidayat (NRH) and M Izza Muhtadin (MIM) as aide to the Nganjuk Regent. While the bribe givers, namely Dupriono (DR) as the Head of Pace Sub-district, Edie Srijato (ES) as the Head of Tanjunganom and Plt Sub-District of Sukomoro, Haryanto (HR) as the Head of Berbek Sub-district, Bambang Subagio (BS) as the Head of Loceret, and Tri Basuki Widodo (TBW) as the former Head of Sukomoro sub-district.

Evidence that has been obtained relating to the case, namely cash amounting to IDR 647,900,000 from the Nganjuk Regent's personal safe, eight cell phones, and one Bank Jatim savings book in the name of Tri Basuki Widodo.

The modus operandi is that the sub-district heads give some money to the Nganjuk Regent through the Regent's aide regarding the transfer and promotion of their positions as well as filling the subdistrict level positions in the Nganjuk Regency. Furthermore, the Nganjuk Regent's aide handed over the money to the Nganjuk Regent.
