COVID-19 Cases Soar, KPK Employees Perform Antigen Swab

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a swab test or antigen-based swab test for all its employees to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, the current spread of COVID-19 in the country continues to increase.

"As a continuous mitigation measure for the spread of COVID-19, today the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has started to roll out antigen swabs for all employees and related parties within the KPK," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, told reporters quoted on Tuesday, June 22.

The implementation of this test, he continued, will be carried out in the Hall of the KPK Juang Building, which is located at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. From Monday, June 21 to Friday, June 25, in rotation.

"This is to ensure that the implementation continues to implement the health protocols obediently and correctly," said Ali.

Furthermore, the KPK also carries out periodic spraying of disinfectants in all workspaces to prevent transmission of the virus. Not only that, all employees and other parties who are active in the anti-corruption commission are also required to comply with health protocols.

"Hopefully all are always in good health and prime so that they can continue to carry out their duties to eradicate corruption optimally," said Ali.

Previously, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive COVID-19 cases per day. Based on the results of the examination of 84,418 specimens, 14,536 new cases were found.

Still referring to the data from the Ministry of Health, for the province with the highest number of additional positive cases, DKI Jakarta. It was recorded that 5,014 people tested positive for COVID-19.

Then, the second province with the most positive cases of COVID-19 was Central Java with 3,252 cases. Furthermore, West Java with 2,719 confirmed cases of positive COVID-19.
