Kang Emil Targets Metropolitan Rebana To Be The Best Investment Destination In Southeast Asia
JAKARTA - The Governor of West Java (West Java) M Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil is targeting to make the Tambourine Metropolitan Area the best investment destination in Southeast Asia or ASEAN.
"My target is that the tambourine is the best destination for ASEAN. My dream is to be in the Asean class, I dream that the tambourine area is designed as the best investment destination in ASEAN," said Kang Emil in a press release quoted by Antara, Monday, June 22.
Kang Emil explained that the West Java Provincial Government and stakeholders will not only build industrial areas but also build a civilization in the form of a city and it is planned that there will be around 13 cities in it.
"We created civilization, so the shape is a city of approximately 13 cities. If the city means there is a square, there is a main road like Sudirman Thamrin, there is a CBD, and outside of that there are industrial zones," said Kang Emil.
In addition, Kang Emil also said that he would connect one place to another. So that people can be close between the place of work and where they live.
"That's the tambourine, if we manage to control it with this Presidential Regulation, it will become a futuristic region in Indonesia. As long as there are formulas that form future city clusters, where the workplace is close to where you live, and if you want recreation, it's also there," he said.
According to Ridwan Kamil, the existence of a tambourine area will have a major impact on the economy. Moreover, this tambourine metroploitan area also creates 3-5 million jobs.
"Therefore, if the tambourine is successful, 3-5 million jobs can be present. Therefore, in the tambourine concept, we don't want to design factories just like in Bekasi Karawang," said Ridwan Kamil.
In addition to building a tambourine area that includes Sumedang, Majalengka, Subang, Indramayu, and Kuningan, as well as Cirebon, Ridwan Kamil also wants to build the southern part of West Java.
According to Ridwan Kamil, South West Java has tremendous tourism potential. But unfortunately, so far the southern region has not been touched by infrastructure.
"South West Java has great potential but the infrastructure is for the tourism economy," he said.
According to Ridwan Kamil, infrastructure development in South West Java will carry three concepts. The first is to be oriented towards tourism, agriculture and aquaculture.
"If there is an infrastructure development plan in the southern part of West Java, I entrust it to be checked again so that the orientation is on tourism, agriculture and aquaculture. Hopefully the list of projects contains the three spirits and don't make things that are not connected with it," he said. .
