Majalengka Regent Karna Sobahi And His Wife Are Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - Regent of Majalengka, West Java, Karna Sobahi and his wife have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. This is based on the results of the swab test, and is currently undergoing self-isolation because he is asymptomatic.

"Yes, indeed, the regent was exposed to COVID-19 from the results of the swab test," said the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Majalengka Regency Eman Suherman in Majalengka, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 21.

Eman said the results of the Karnataka Regent's swab test with his wife came out on Sunday night stating that both of them were positive for COVID-19.

According to him, even though the Majalengka Regent was infected with COVID-19, he did not experience any symptoms, aka asymptomatic people (OTG) and is currently undergoing self-isolation.

"Currently, the regent and his wife are in self-isolation," he said.

Eman said that with the Regent of Karna confirmed positive for COVID-19, currently officials in the Majalengka Regency Government, including those who had close contact, were being investigated.

"Including myself, I am currently self-isolating. Please pray for and heal the regent. And we are all always given health and kept away from all diseases," he said.
