Follow Jokowi's Advice Regarding Pregnant Women To Toddlers Who Are Positive For COVID-19, Airlangga: Handled By BKKBN
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) Airlangga Hartarto said the government has fully handed over the handling of COVID-19 cases experienced by pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, toddlers, and children to the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) .
This, said Airlangga, in accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a limited meeting regarding the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.
"Mr. President also encourages the BKKBN to handle pregnant women, mothers and babies, toddlers, toddlers and children," Airlangga said at a press conference on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Monday, June 21.
"So the BKKBN will handle specifically related to handling COVID-19 for pregnant women, mothers giving birth, toddlers, and children," he added.
For information, for the DKI Jakarta area, the number of children in DKI Jakarta who are positive for COVID-19 continues to grow. Based on data until June 20, there were 876 children under 18 who were positive for COVID-19.
Even so, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Widyastuti, admitted that he did not know for sure. He claimed that he did not bring detailed data on the number of children who tested positive for COVID-19.
Previously, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total cases are 1,989,909 people since the first case was announced on March 2, meanwhile, new cases per day reached 13,737 people.
Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 6,385 people, bringing the total to 1,972,528 people recovered. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 371 people and a total of 54,662 people.
Meanwhile, the province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 5,582 new cases and a total of 474,029 cases. DKI is the province with the most COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. Followed by the province of Central Java with 2,195 and the total cumulative cases reached 227,148.

739 new cases and a total of 163,548 cases. Followed by DI Yogyakarta with the addition of 665 cases and the total cases reached 52,641.
