Allegedly Stressed, Men With Special Needs Hanged Himself In North Sumatra
MEDAN - Prayogi (33) decided to hang himself using a rope. He was found dead on a pillar of his house in Hamlet VII, Petuaran Hilir Village, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency.
The victim, who works as a casual worker at Kebun Tanah Raja, is known to have divorced his wife. The victim looked dazed.
The victim's condition was worsened by the death of his biological mother. The victim is believed to be getting more stressed.
Receiving the report, a team from the Perbaungan Police carried out a check by visiting the scene. When they arrived at the location, the police found the victim's body had been taken down by the family.
At the location, the police also examined a number of witnesses. From there, the police learned from the family that the victim was deaf.
Serdang Bedagai Police Chief AKBP Robin Simatupang, accompanied by Perbaungan Police Chief AKP Viktor Simanjuntak, said that it was suspected that the victim committed suicide by hanging himself.
After an investigation was carried out at the scene of the case, nothing related to the crime was found.
"Then an examination was carried out on the victim's body, there were marks of a rope tied around the victim's neck," said Robin, Monday, June 21.
However, said Robin, the family did not allow an autopsy to be carried out on the victim. Robin confirmed that his party would continue to investigate.
"On the request of the family, investigators believe and grant the family's request not to do an autopsy, but continue to investigate the incident," he concluded.
