What's Left Of The 2019 MAMA Excitement

JAKARTA - The 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held on December 4 at the Nagoya Dome, Japan. This annual awards ceremony involves more than 17 group and non-group performers.

ITZY - Dalla Dalla Remix

This new boy made by JYP agency made his first appearance at the 2019 MAMA award ceremony. Even though he only had four songs, ITZY still showed their best performance. Monsta X - Forever & Never Die

When it comes to Monsta X's appearance at MAMA, they always show different things from what they do at concerts or other music shows. Before performing their new single, Monsta X opened the stage with Joohoney and IM who surrounded the festival audience while riding in a car. After the loud rap in the style of the two, other personnel such as Kihyun, Minhyuk, Shownu, and Hyungwon immediately performed a solo dance. Their performances are always worth the wait.

Dua Lipa - Don't Start Now

Every year, MAMA invites foreign singers to perform. This year, it is the turn of British singer Dua Lipa to perform her newest song Don't Start Now. Dua Lipa's popularity can be seen from her songs, which always enter the South Korean music charts, so her presence is a joy. Before Dua Lipa, there was Hwasa from the group MAMAMOO who sang New Rules.

JYP x MAMAMOO - Medley

The big boss of the JYP Entertainment agency this time is a duet with the K-pop group MAMAMOO. Even though MAMAMOO is not from JYP's agency, this collaboration is in the spotlight. Starting with one of the personnel, Hwasa performed his solo song Twit then together with JYP sang Don't Leave Me, followed by the appearance of MAMAMOO singing HIP and Who's Your Mama, and closed with JYP singing his new song, Fever.

BTS - Medley

When talking about MAMA, the name BTS often comes to mind. Mnet's favorite child is now performing for more than 30 minutes. Unmitigated, BTS performed old released songs as well as new songs, Boy With Luv. A sense of nostalgia and pride accompanied the BTS performance when they sang NO and We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 followed by Mikrokosmos and Dionysus. BTS who won the most awards this year managed to put on a strong performance and won't be dimming any time soon.

Andmesh and Stephanie Poetri won at the 2019 MAMA

MAMA always gives awards to anyone, including the appreciation for singers in parts of Southeast Asia. After in the previous year, Marion Jola and producers Laleilmanino & Java Finger and Afgan became winners from Indonesia, this year, the Best New Artist award was given to Stephanie Poetri. His booming career thanks to the song I Love You 3000 earned him this special award. On the other hand, Andmesh got an award for Best Asian Artist.
