JCI Closed Monday, Gaining 0.08 Percent Higher To 4,511.06 Levels

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed slightly higher on Monday, May 18 trading. JCI closed up 0.08 percent or 3.45 points to 4,511.06 levels.

In closing the trade, 183 stocks rose, 199 shares fell, and 164 stocks remained unchanged. The trading volume was recorded at 6.49 billion shares and was transacted for IDR 6.45 trillion.

Several reference indexes were recorded to have strengthened. LQ45 rose 3.37 percent, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) strengthened 4.26 percent, and IDX30 gained 1.36 percent.

By sector, the infrastructure sector was recorded the strongest with a gain of 2.44 percent. Foreign investors recorded a net sale of IDR663.76 billion.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Bank Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) which rose 33.06 percent to IDR165, PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) which gained 10.27 percent to IDR1,020, and PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPFF), which strengthened 9.96 percent to Rp1,380.

While stocks that are in the top losers ranks, including PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC) which fell 5.63 percent to Rp134, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) which fell 5.57 percent to Rp4,580, and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), which weakened 4.49 percent to Rp1,170.
